Rain, cold, fog, and wind...
It has been raining since this morning. Not only has it been raining, but it has also been really cold all day. The wind makes the day a tad bit chillier than usual.I went Christmas shopping today with my big brother. While driving I thought about all the drivers around me who were speeding despite the muggy, cold, rainy, and foggy weather we were all driving in. I could barely see but a few feet ahead and I am positive that they were only able to see as far as I could too, however, they didn't care to be careful. It seemed their only concern was to arrive at their destination.We were too, ready to arrive at our destination but we also wanted to make it there safely. I watched as drivers cut in and out of traffic, far too close for comfort, especially in the bad weather we were experiencing. I find it very disturbing that we as humans will risk our lives for reasons that make no sense. When it rains, it is only wise that you give yourself twice the amount of time to get to your destination, since you probably won't be driving as fast as usual. The speed limit is the limit when the weather is clear and skies are pretty. It is not the speed limit in the weather such as the one we experienced today. No matter where you're heading, or who is waiting, they can wait a little while longer so that you can make it there safely. If you're stuck in traffic and it's causing you delay, look at it this way: "God is protecting me from something that's ahead of me." Be patient, be wise, be calm, and have faith. Everything happens for a reason. Let's be safe and have a happy holiday season!
